Hall Maintenance

Repair to Owen Pooley Hall Wall – The repair to this wall was incorporated within the quotation for the redecoration of the Owen Pooley and will go ahead in the half term holiday.

Roof repair to corridor near chambers – Richard Sistrom had been up onto the roof to find the finials and had discovered a large hole in the roof which was letting in rain. The Clerk had instructed him to repair the hole.

Roof finials – Again these are missing and need to be put back up. Richard Sistrom has found them on the roof and is prepared to put them back up for us.

Yearly check of requirements for maintenance – date set for Friday 9th May 2008 at 6.30pm.

Revamp of Austin and Owen Pooley Halls

Corridor between both halls – specification for roof and insulation – Cllr Oliver will contact a roofing contractor and seek advice. We would also look into the possibility of installing a disabled toilet.

Decoration of Austin Hall – a specification has been drawn up and the Clerk would obtain quotations for the job.

Decoration of Owen Pooley Hall – already set for May half term.

Store room revamp – This is a health and safety matter due to the tiles hanging off and having broken ends. This would be made safe as a matter of urgency and at the same time remove the remaining cupboards.

Kitchen for Austin Hall – on hold until later in the year once this committee knew the cost of a new roof for the corridor mentioned above.

Proposed Cllr Richardson second Cllr Humphries that Richard Sistrom be our point of contact for maintenance requirements.
