Clive Thorne - 30 Years of Service
Councillor Clive Thorne has been celebrating 30 years of
serving the village on the Parish Council.
During his service Clive has been Chairman of the Council and
chaired several committees.
He is passionate about the village and although he fights
to keep the history of Yaxley alive, Clive welcomes change
and development of the area.
Recently, Clive has been the leader of the working party who
are overseeing the development of the Queen's Park playing
fields. He continues with his work and looks forward to the
building of the pavilion and completion of the project.
Clive lives in the village and is a well respected business man.
He is a constant source of information for his fellow councillors
about Parish matters and local life. He also has some interesting
tales to tell too!
Clive was presented with a clock by Chairman Malcom Whitney to commemorate the event. Below is
a photograph of the presentation. A photo of the full council at the presentation is on the
"Councillors" page.
