Financial Matters

Financial reports – The Playing Fields Committee ordered a slide prior to the end of the financial year. The slide was not installed until May and therefore the invoice for the slide was not paid until June 2007. This payment appears in this year’s budget and has significantly reduced the Playing Field budget. The Clerk informed the Council that she had spoken to the Auditor who stated that we should bring forwarded any balances that have not been paid out from the previous year budget and therefore we should reflect this in next month’s balances. Proposed Cllr Rickman seconded Cllr Oliver.

Having read through the report Cllr Rickman recommending that we set a diary of events for items to be reviewed each year.  Cllr Rickman would draw this up and forward to the Clerk. There are no concerns in the report. The Clerk will continue meeting the internal auditor.
