Health and Safety and Security

Risk Assessment – Cllr Richardson report that he has completed our risk assessment policy and updated our systems where necessary. He is now compiling risk assessment forms. Cllr Rickman will read over the policy document and this would be brought back to F & GP next month for final approval. Cllr Richardson left the meeting.

Financial Matters

Clerk is in the process of re-coding the vandalism items with Abbey Booking. There are some other items that a wrongly coded and the Clerk would have these amended.

c) Letter from Huntingdon District Council – 070193FUL – 222 Broadway, Yaxley – approval of application – noted.

d) Cllrs Youles and Thorne have attended two meetings following correspondence details in the Full Council meeting of the 11th September 2007. They related to Core Strategy and a Stakeholder workshop. In both cases a letter is to be sent with our opinions and views. Cllrs Thorne and Youles would draft letters for the Clerk to send off.

Health and Safety and Security

A member of Welcome Club had an accident stepping outside the door from the Austin Hall. Alliance Cornhill has been contacted and are sending a claim form for completion by the claimant. The Clerk has instigated repairs to the door as a small part of the frame has been broken off.

Health and Safety Policy

This matters is reviewed yearly. The Clerk will place an agenda item for the cemetery committee so that they can discuss the policy regarding headstones.

Policy for dealing with complaints from the public relating to staff – the staff working party are asked to look into this and create a policy.

The advert for the new senior grounds person was approved with slight amendments.
