Park Close – update

Cllr Rickman reports – Cllr Rickman attend a meeting at Huntingdon District Council with regard to this planning application. Cllr Watt and Cllr Matt McGuire all spoke during that meeting. HDC decided to deny Peterborough City Council’s request for the land to be designated as residential. The land remains for health and community use. We await Peterborough City Council’s next move. They do have a time to appeal the decision.

36.

Bulk Collection

The Clerk reported back to the Committee. The cost of bulk collection for Yaxley is £1,500 to £2,000 per week. It would take three weeks to make one collection in Yaxley and therefore this would be of a large cost to the village. The Council will review this when looking at budgets for next year.

Village roadways

Discussion taking place with regard to the state of the Roads in Yaxley. It is proposed that we write to Cambridgeshire Highways and complain about the amount of potholes in the road. The roads have received repairs but only cosmetic repairs. There is also a problem with the drainage at the end of Main Street that joins with Windsor Road. This was highlighted over the bank holiday weekend. Cllr Lucas to provide photographs of the flood water to assist with our complaint. There are also major problems at Landsdowne Road. There was also a programme of installing drop kerbs which appears to have come to a halt. The Clerk would mention this in the letter. Other things to mention the use of Waterslade Road from the A15 and we are to ask what the Highways intention is with regard to Daimler Avenue. Yellow lines are urgently required along this road.
