Pavilion/Recreational Ground

Youth Shelter – update -  Cllr Youles is attending a meeting with the Youth Services on 2^nd April 2008 for further discussion regarding the provision for youth. At present the youth shelter for the recreation ground has the go ahead and the order will be placed in conjunction with Youth Services if it is in full agreement with Council’s requirements. Cllr Youles will give the go ahead at the meeting on the 2^nd April 2008.  

The lighting along the path at the top of the recreational ground needs improvement especially if there is to be a youth shelter. Proposed Cllr Butcher seconded Cllr Oliver that we set a budget of £1,400 to spend on updating the lighting. The Clerk will obtain quotes and put this matter to full council.

Bins and seats – the seats have been delivered and the bins are having the artwork

Review of fees. This is to be rolled over until August and considered with Queen’s Park fees.

Cllr Butcher had had a meeting with Carol Lawless whose property backs into the recreational ground. She has asked that we define our boundary. Suggest that we ask Cllr Rickman to do this on our behalf.

Multi Activity Centre

Fencing around the astro turf. One quote has been received, the Clerk is to obtain two more quotes and put to full council.

The fees for hire have not been increased for 3 years. Proposed by Cllr Butcher seconded Cllr Oliver that the hire fees be increased by 10% from 1^st April 2008.

The Clerk will obtain paint from Wicksteed Leisure and get our groundsman to paint the spider climbing frame on the recreational ground.
