Matters Arising from previous Minutes 24th March 2009

Multi Activity Centre/MUGA

Floodlit Area.  Confirm with Clerk the requirement for planning permission before completion of installation.

Queens Park

Tree Band – It was proposed that Cllrs Stafford and Butcher do exploratory work for the requirements and costs of planting a tree bank along the north side of Queen’s Park also to seek suitable tree belt for west side.  Proposed Cllr Oliver and seconded Cllr Metcalfe.  All in favour.

Fence re Morgan Close.  It was proposed that Cllrs Stafford and Butcher to look at the height of the palisade fencing at Morgan Close.  A Letter is to be sent to Mrs K Tozer stating that the palisade fencing was a goodwill gesture to the elderly couple and that they are quite pleased with the result.  Proposed Cllr Stafford and seconded Cllr Oliver.

Play Areas

Swings and roundabout in Recreation Ground play area have been replaced/repaired. 

Clerk to check on receiving regular inspection reports regarding all play area equipment.

The spider play equipment to be painted – winter job.

Dundee play area – Cllr Rees to look at area and speak with children and residents.

Play equipment at Blenheim Way does not come under YPC.

Review of Fees

It was proposed that fees for football pitches at Queen’s Park be increased by 10%.  Also cricket fees be increased by 10%.  Proposed Cllr Oliver and seconded Cllr Metcalfe.  All in favour.

It was also proposed that the hiring of Queen’s Park Hall be increased by 10%. Proposed Cllr Oliver and seconded Cllr Rees.  All in favour.

These fees to be in force when minutes agreed at the next Full Council meeting on 11th August 2009.
